The Chief Minister took the decision after a meeting with the state’s health minister and technical committee. The Karnataka government also made it mandatory for all international passengers to get an RT-PCR negative certificate 72 hours prior to their journey to the state in the wake of the emergence of a new UK COVID-19 strain.
